I was out this morning and caught this scene in Moline. It was on the news (ch. 6), so you could go to their site & get the story. In a nutshell, this old oak tree had been dead for years, and evidently couldn't take the weight of all the rain we've had lately. When I was there, the city crews had begun to cut up the debris, but they were working in the rain. How fun.
