We came across this eye catching van on Sunday. It's promoting a gambling addiction hotline--fabulous! I guess you can figure out my feelings on gambling. To call it a cancer in society isn't quite accurate--it's more like drinking antifreeze. Tastes sweet going down, but before long, you realize you're terminally ill, and it feels like there's no way to fix it. So what does the gambler do....? He drinks MORE antifreeze, because it makes him feel good, at least for a while, and he keeps hoping that maybe THIS time, he'll drink the antidote instead of the antifreeze! Thus goes the insipid spiral of addiction.
