Front Yard Fun

FINALLY--it was warm enough Saturday for us to be outside enjoying the weather.
Now, don't get too grossed out--this first pic is my hair, collected from my brush over the winter. I scattered blobs of it in the bushes, and the birds will use it for nest building. No, really, I do it every year! And it's kinda fun to think of my hair keeping the babies warm!

Here is my collection of birdhouses in one of my trees. They're all new this year--we'll see if the birdies are as impressed with them as I was......

And one surprise--a curious groundhog, newly awake from his hibernation, too skinny for his comfort, and looking to beef up on my birdseed. I guess the fact that he was in my front yard is evidence that he really was pretty hungry! I hope he'll come back. I plan to leave out some "groundhog goodies" to entice him.

You are very resourceful! The birds will thank you for their warm nests and their food!
