Topsy Turvey Toms!

Well, I thought I'd try a bit of an experiment this year. I love home grown toms, but I don't have a good spot for a garden. So when I found this unique solution, I figured why not give it a shot? The idea is that toms, being vining plants by nature, will grow well as a hanging plant.
According to the picture.......I should have a nice fat tom plants hanging outside my dining room window (makes it easier to water). I'll update you as the summer progresses, so you can see if this thing works!

Here's the real thing. I chose a Yellow Pear tom plant. The toms are small, but prolific and very tasty. If you look closely, you'll see Frank (who has his own sheep's wool window seat) observing my activities. I can hardly wait for my fresh toms!

Be careful Tess, they are after us. First the FDA and now this.

The good news is, only the stand was recalled, which I don't have--I've only got the hanging container--so maybe since my toms are allowed to hang freely, they are less likely to attack me in the night & kill me.....?
