These pics were all taken the day of the storm, after the worst of it was over. Leo took some, I took some. A neighbor's house. Thankfully, we did not have any branches damage our house or garage, but not everyone was so lucky.A large tree split, and a third of it fell across our street, blocking access.
It was great to see how quickly all the neighbors came out to work on that tree in the road. The guys all got out their chainsaws & muscles, and had it cleared off the street in no time.
This was on the next street over. This guy's car was on the news several times--but then, it is pretty dramatic!
Our new neighbors, who had just finished moving in Sunday night, had a large tree from the backyard fall on their house. They have eight big holes in the roof. It also ripped the service off their house, but Brad went down & hooked it back up for them. He also hooked up the service for two other neighbors. They all thought it was pretty handy to have an electrician in the neighborhood!
Damage like this was the norm. No one escaped having some damage, and everyone had enough to make some pretty big brush piles.
A closeup of the trampoline.
The main road up from our street had a very large tree down, which landed on the power lines running across the road, pulling the pole out of whack.
A tree down the street.
