Wye Cave

Here are some nifty mushrooms that we found growing in Wye Cave, about 40 feet below the ground, in total darkness. It's amazing how much life there is in these caves, if you just take the time to look for it.
Brad & Leo at the bottom of the first leg of Wye Cave. The second leg required us to belly crawl through an opening barely big enough for Brad, so we skipped it this trip. It was still our favorite cave--maybe we'll be brave enough to wiggle through next time!
Tess in front of some boulders in Wye Cave. It doesn't show in the pic, but when you're in the cave, you feel as though the boulders might just roll over & block you in!
