Leo & I stopped by downtown Davenport this morning to take in the "coexistence" exhibition. There are 45 billboards all over the downtown, showing artists' displays on various social issues (poverty, war, human rights, etc.). Some of them were striking, some of them were weird. But it was very interesting.
Leo on the skybridge--we couldn't go to downtown Davenport without taking a stroll on the skybridge, could we.....? By the way, we saw firsthand the vandalism that the city has been (badly) dealing with. Some idiots had broken into the fire extinguisher cabinet, and had sprayed the "dust" all over one end of the bridge. It was an awful mess (I really feel for the guy who has to try to mop all that up--it's VERY fine powder), not to mention the damaged fire extinguisher & cabinet. There was also a shattered panel. Get with it, Davenport city council.......
