The Holiday Hawk

We came home from church last week to a scene of carnage--or, the circle of life in action, depending on your perspective. A hawk had managed to pounce happily on a somewhat less happy pigeon. Well, we do get an awful lot of pigeons around the feeders--it was only a matter of time, I suppose, before one of them got fat enough to be a nice meal for someone else!
