Spiced Coon Brainballs Over Intestines

Friday night, Brad & I went the Roadkill Cafe event at my friend Ruth's church, Grace Baptist. Now, just in case you've never had the pleasure of attending one of these things, let me give you a sampling of the menu items--

Spiced Coon Brains Over Intestines

Chopped Possum Over Maggots

Yeller Rabbit Teeth

Buttered Gallbladders

Just so you won't be too horrified, let me translate--

Spaghetti & Meatballs

Beef Stew Over Rice

Buttered Corn

Buttered Peas

And our drinks....?

Mud (chocolate milk)

Soured Bug Juice (lemonade)

Hailstones in Animal Drool (ice water)

And let's not forget our eating utensils--Hay Prong, Scrapin' Shuvel, Pawpaw's Good Saw. I'll let you figure those out.


The first pic is the Cain family. Pastor Cain entertained us (sort of!) and Margie did a lot of the cooking.
